PIRSA will soon require that all beekeepers undertake approved Varroa detection training as well as regular Varroa checking of their hives.

There are two approved courses available. Both are currently free and able to be completed online. 

• One from TOCAL. Register for and complete the training here. 
• The other from the Australian Honey Bee Industry Council (AHBIC) and Plant Health Australia (PHA), with assistance from Australia’s Bee Biosecurity Officers and original funding from AgriFutures Australia. You can read more about this course, and register for and complete this course here.
