The benefits of membership include: access to knowledgeable beekeepers, interesting meetings, field days, an extensive library and loan equipment.

BSSA have also arranged public and products liability insurance at very reasonable rates for members – if you are selling honey it is advisable to have adequate insurance. Insurance can only be purchased by financial members during the membership renewal period from 1 May to 31 July annually. 

All memberships are for up to 12 months ending June 30. Membership fees due by July 1 each year. We have three levels of membership as follows. 

ADULT / INDIVIDUAL

$65 for new members and existing member renewals.

FAMILY
$100 for two adults and two children or one adult and three children. An adult must accompany children to all BSSA events. 

If choosing the family membership option, the primary account administrator first creates their own personal account and pays the full membership fee. Our system will send you an email with instructions to log into your profile which is where you can add your family members - the remaining members of the 'membership bundle.'
