Dear BSSA Members,

We trust you all remaining well and staying warm. Please find attached our declaration of our intention to hold the BSSA’s AGM, under the Associations Incorporation Act 1985.

This will occur on Monday, the 8th of August, in the Burnside Community Hall, August being the month noted in our Constitution. Please note this will coincide with our usual BSSA General Meeting. Please therefore find linked the 2022 AGM Agenda and Minutes from the 2021 BSSA AGM, with the September 2021 Special Meeting, in addition to the Agenda for the August General Meeting and Minutes from the July meeting. Also the proposed budget for the 22/23 year. Please note the AGM Agenda includes proposals to amend the Constitution, thus please find linked the current BSSA Constitution.

The meeting will be available to watch on our website a few days after the event at https://bees.org.au/previous-meeting-recordings.

For the AGM you will note nominations and motions, please forward any further motions or amendments you may wish to provide, including applications for positions within the BSSA. Further applications/nominations will be sought on the night. Voting for positions will occur if such nominations are received. I would encourage all members to please indicate if they wish to participate in one of the many ways possible to contribute to and enrich the Society.

Our monthly meetings at the BSSA are held at the Burnside Community Centre, in the Burnside Council offices on the second Monday of every month and start at 7.30pm.

After introductory comments and administration we will pause for the AGM. Following this, in the main meeting we hope to present a Beekeepers experience in Lebanon. Strictly beekeeping will discuss Spring.

All welcome - both members and non-members. Bring a $2 for supper if you'd like a tea, coffee or a snack afterwards.

Beginner and intermediate classes start at 6.30pm prior to the main meeting. Bookings are essential. See our classes page for more information and for bookings.

The meeting will be available to watch on our website a few days after the event at our previous meeting page.

Please use the buttons above to register for the meeting. (Even if you are also attending a beginner or intermediate class.) This will help us get everyone into the hall much more efficiently. If you do not register you will, unfortunately, have to wait longer to enter the hall while we register you on the night. This BSSA registration is in addition to the usual government QR Covid sign-in on the night.

Please return any library books you have borrowed.

Current Covid restrictions mean that we can have a maximum of 180 in the hall. Please wear a mask if you wish. Masks will be available should you like one.
